Bandera has been one of the first companies to manufacture extrusion lines for the production of agricultural film. Agricultural film - or fabrics - width is generally comprised between 4 and 20 meters, its thickness ranges from 120 to 200µ. It is required to stand very severe weather conditions. Extrusion line configuration can besingle-layer or multi-layer. 3-layer extrusion lines allow for producing excellent film for greenhouses, mini tunnels, silos, solarization, mulching, besides thermal film, photoselective film, and diffusive film. |

Bandera extrusion lines ensure differentiation of mechanical and physical characteristics, besides light and heat transmission capacity of each single layer. By efficiently employing additives and expensive resins, film performances and life can be considerably increased.
| To ensure those film characteristics required for different agricultural seasons (e.g.: no-drop effect) – i.e. characteristic steadiness and uniformity for several seasons besides additive migration control along the layers – has determined a strong request for 5-layer wide width agricultural film extrusion lines over the most recent two years. | ![]() |
| The increased demand for barrier film for agricultural applications (e.g. bromination film or virtually impermeable film) to fumigate soil in strict compliance with current regulations has contributed to affirm this kind of multi-layer lines on the market and acknowledge Bandera renowned excellence among extrusion line manufactures. | ![]() |

Bandera range flexibility and versatility are increasingly appreciated and valued by customers from agricultural film sector: needless to say, agricultural film is a product that cannot but be defined as strongly seasonal.
Market requirements lead Bandera to manufacture lines that, being equipped with the same coextrusion head and featuring reduced setup times, can produce both agricultural and thicker film, such as geomembranes for waterproofing applications – the perfect way to exploit line production capacity in a profitable manner over 12 months a year.
Fixed take-off units are built to reach a 8000mm width for flat agricultural film and 5500mm for gusseted film, with conveying boards and motor-driven side gusseting triangles.
Bandera offers an extremely wide range of winders: from fully automated units for the production of jumbo reels to shaftless winders operating directly on cardboard or PVC cores of short reels.
Bandera film extrusion lines are equipped with the most modern peripheral systems and ancillary equipment aimed at automating line operation: 8-foldn gusseted film folders (trapezium) to ease reel storage and handling, systems for the production of film featuring differentiated end and mid thickness (e.g. film intended for vineyard applications) and equipment for the application of reinforcing bands from different material.
Here beside, a standard extrusion line with 2000mm head and total film width comprised between 12 and 18m and thickness ranging between 120 and 200 micron. Line useful output: 1800kg/h.
