Bandera extrusion lines do not require any material pre-treatment as they are based on a patented composite extrusion system (co-rotating twin-screw extruder with enhanced multiple high vacuum venting system).

Furthermore, Bandera innovatively developed in the following processes:

  • Bulk dosing systems for master batches and mineral fillers for composite sheet by co-rotating twin-screw and/or cascade extruders combined with innovative and precise raw material gravimetric loss-in-weight dosing units
  • Fully automated multi-reel winding systems for high-speed foil extrusion lines
  • Melt super filtration systems

Line control is via computerised supervisory systems aimed at in-line final product quality control.

Blown film

Complete Blown Film Extrusion Lines

Bandera is market leader in complete extrusion lines for the production of finished technical packaging film (which can be single or 3-, 5-, 7- and 9-layer and is intended for food and medical-pharmacological fields), agrifilm (high output extrusion lines for the production of multilayer film, width up to 16m and special extrusion heads whose diameter exceeds 2600mm), biodegradable film and thick film for the production of geomembranes intended for civil and industrial waterproofing systems.

Bandera innovative know-how and technologies are applied to cutting edge thermoplastics transforming for the production of HDBs, shoppers, and bags of different shapes and sizes, as well as shrink film (cover pallets and stretch hood).

Bandera has focussed on polymer treatment at the hot molten stage through extrusion heads with shear rate and temperature control specifically intended for the production of film featuring minimized thickness tolerances and optimized optical/mechanical characteristics.

Production lines are equipped with automatic quality control systems (loss-in-weight gravimetric dosing systems, in-line film thickness control, automatic winding station – either by contact under controlled pressure values or by axially controlled gap, or, again in combined configuration), supervisory systems and user-friendly computerised line control.
Bandera product range comprises a new groundbreaking film extrusion line series – Smartflex – which outstands for: competitive investment level and its standard die high productivity, enlarged thickness range ensuring maximized flexibility for different applications/recipes, maximized efficiency under automatic winding, high power consumption reduction, and functional and compact layout featuring frames modularity.

Bandera range includes film extrusion lines for HDPE bags.

Bandera is highly specialized in multilayer blown film technology.

Pipes and Coating

Complete Extrusion Lines for the Production of Thermoplastic Pipes and Steel Pipe Coating Lines

Bandera designs and manufactures complete extrusion lines for the production of HDPE, PPA and PPR, PVC, PEX, PP/AL/PE pipes for construction, telecommunication, waterworks, irrigation and drainage applications, besides mining industry, pneumatic and water systems and technical ducting fields, as well as multilayer film with barrier layer (PEX EVOH PE) for hydro and thermo-sanitary and industrial applications (district heating included).

Bandera innovative know-how and related applied technologies in the latest-generation thermoplastics transforming field relies on special extrusion heads, designed with the support of simulation software to analyse melt rheology.

Bandera offers extrusion systems and complete lines for corrugated and/or spiral pipes for producing composite multilayer plastics/steel pipes and coating lines/heads for steel drawn products.

Production lines are equipped with automated quality control systems (loss-in weight gravimetric dosing system and in-line thickness control – weight-per-meter control) and user-friendly computer supervision system.

Bandera has been operating in the thermoplastic resin steel pipe coating for over 20 years now, offering complete extrusion systems for outer thermoplastics (PE and adhesive) coating lines intended for steel pipes for ducting, especially in hydrocarbons transportation.

Coating lines are divided into:

  • Sleeve-type extrusion, with coating head intended for pipe diameters up to 24”
  • Side-banded extrusion (flat die head), for pipe diameters up to 80”

Bandera offers process solutions aimed at ensuring substantial savings in steel coating resins.

PET/PP Pelletzing

Extruders and PET/PP Pelletizing Lines (Co-Rotating Twin-Screw Extruders)

Bandera production range includes co-rotating extruders in standard and special versions. Bandera production range is so wide as to cover all kinds of products connected with raw material direct extrusion.

Extruders are entirely designed and manufactured by Bandera. Standard production range includes 55mm, 70mm, 85mm, 105mm, 135mm, and 170mm diameter sizes in 18 L/D, 34 L/D, 42 L/D and 52 L/D versions, with output capacity comprised between 300 and 3500 kg/h, depending on the specific features of the process materials.

The HTS-series modular gear reduction units are adaptable to any operating condition of any specific application.

Extrusion screws consist of splined shafts with a number of conveying and mixing modular sections, made from tempered wear-resistant steel.

Extrusion barrels, of the modular type as well, are offered in nitrided steel, or with interchangeable sections made from wear-resistant material.

PVC Pelletzing

New PVC Pelletizing Lines

Bandera designs and manufactures complete rigid and soft PVC pelletizing lines for several and various applications.

Process core consists of the twin-screw extruder featuring parallel counter-rotating twin screws with increased length (L/D 1:28). This extruder outstands for enhanced product quality (material jellification in the barrel is step by step and under lower stress conditions) and for high productivity with elevated flexibility in recipes.

Bandera counter-rotating twin-screw can process both rigid and soft PVC with the same screw profile at high hourly outputs.

A standard complete pelletizing line includes:

  • Variable-speed horizontal volumetric dosing unit.
  • Variable speed force feeder for slow-flow dry mixes

Bandera parallel counter-rotating and intermeshing twin screw extruders for PVC powder and/or granule pelletizing from the 2B series comprise:

  • An open-structured electro-welded steel base frame to ease inspection interventions on speed reduction unit, torque distributor assembly complete with thrust block and closed-loop forced lubrication by on-board control station.
  • Extrusion barrel made from nitrided steel; alternatively, in case of heavy duty process requirements – e.g. process materials with fillers, or regenerated materials, etc. – the barrel can be manufactured in bi-metal alloy high resistant to corrosion and wear.
  • Barrel heating is obtained by special ceramic electric resistance heaters equipped with special dissipator fins.
  • The thermoregulated extrusion screws are made from nitrided steel, with wear resistant coating obtained by plasma welding.
  • The wheeled barrel withdrawal system allows for screw and barrel convenient cleaning and inspection interventions.

Extrusion line control is by supervision system and user interface (Operator Panel or touch screen industrial PC).

About Us Advanced Machinery was founded in 1989 by Wim Buyle. Initially, the company undertook the installation of web-guiding systems, as well as the overhaul and maintenance of such systems – and this on a free-lance basis. Subsequently, the activities were expanded into the design, construction and maintenance of other equipments and accessories used in the converting industry: web tension controls, expansion shafts, spreader rollers, longitudinal cutting systems, etc.
